Therapy for thoughtful minds and tender hearts.
When everything feels like “too much” and “not enough”, all at the same time. Real life can be messy—therapy can help you make sense of it.
At Little Lantern Counseling, I offer a warm, supportive space for teen girls and young women to explore their emotions, make sense of what they’re carrying, and start building a life that feels more like their own.
I’m Christie Maether, LMHC-D
licensed mental health counselor
At Little Lantern Counseling, I work with adolescent girls (ages 16+), young women who often look or even feel like they have it all under control, but are carrying a lot under the surface. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or you’re just trying to make sense of your thoughts, emotions, or past experiences. You might be going through a life change—starting college, figuring out adulthood, navigating motherhood, or dealing with relationships that leave you confused or drained.
Do you ever wonder what it would feel like to have someone truly listen—without taking sides or jumping in to fix it? If you're someone who thinks deeply, feels a lot, and just wants a space to talk things through without judgment—I’m here for that.
Together, we’ll:
make sense of your thoughts and emotions
explore who you are and what truly matters to you
gently challenge the patterns that keep you stuck
and start building a life that feels more like you—not just one you’re getting through
Therapy with me is warm, supportive, and collaborative — with a little humor and real-talk mixed in. (I’ve been told I’m the therapist who makes you laugh and think deeply. Both are welcome here.)
